IELTS

Duration - 45 Classes (3 hr. per session)

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a global test for proficiency in English language accepted in most countries. It is conducted by three reputed international organization- British council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge ESOL. It tests the four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You can choose from two types of tests Academic or General depending on whether you want to study, work or migrate. The results are graded on the IELTS 9 band scale.


IELTS test is divided into two Modules, Academic and General Training:-


{1.} Academic: is for candidates who wish to study at tertiary level in English-speaking countries.


{2.} General: is for candidates who wish to pursue high school studies or Less Linguistically demanding courses or wish to immigrate to Australia or New Zealand.


IELTS King offers a preparation course for IELTS and its purpose is to give students the background knowledge, techniques, disciplined environment and practice materials in the prescribed format to enable them to get acceptable scores on the test.


Course Details:

There are four sub-modules Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. ALL candidates take the same Listening and speaking modules. Academic Module candidates take the Academic Reading and the Academic Writing module, while General Training candidates take the General Reading module and the General Writing module.

Australia scholarship @ Macquarie University


We provide AU$5000 annually towards your tuition fees for the length of the course (AU$2500 is credited against your tuition fees each semester).
The scholarship is for full time, on-campus study only.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
  • Be a citizen of India.
  • Have applied for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework through a registered Macquarie University agent IELTS King application system.
  • Have met the University's academic and English requirements for the course offered at Macquarie University.
  • Commence study in the session and year indicated in your scholarship letter of offer. Commencement may not be deferred.
  • Commence your Bachelor or Master degree program in 2018 Session 2 onwards, or articulate from MUIC to your degree program from 2019 Session 1 onwards.
Important notes:
  • You're not eligible if you are a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or hold permanent residency of Australia.
  • Students who are on an English-packaged course are eligible for this scholarship if they commence their course in 2018 or 2019.
  • You're not eligible if you have received any other Macquarie University scholarship (which may include the UAC Scholarship) for this course of study, unless you have been advised otherwise by a representative of the university.
  • To remain eligible for this scholarship, you must stay enrolled in your original approved course of study and pass all units within the course.
  • If you withdraw from your program before completion, you may be required to repay any scholarship previously awarded to you during your study period at Macquarie University based on the outcome as decided by the scholarships and grants committee.
